I started doing my own family tree over 20 years ago researching family members in Ireland, Scotland, England, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa and America.
During this time I worked in Telecommunications, Banking, Insurance, Radio, Film, Television and Therapy helping people find a solution to their fear.
Working in these areas allowed me to run and operate my own business with over 10 staff. I started a telecommunication user group with over 250 members. I worked in front of camera for both television and film. I was a radio presenter talking about current affairs and dealing with everyday issues. In the banking sector I worked with large amount of cash, helping staff and customers with their issues. As a therapist I was able to help many people overcome their problems both individually and in groups. I spoke to large audiences and also wrote for a National Newspaper on a regular basis.
All of the above has helped me to know how to be organised with paperwork, understand people and deal with confidential matters, know a problem and keep going until I found a solution.
In doing my own family tree this lead to helping friends and family with their family tree and now I help clients with their own Family History.
I love doing Family History. I enjoy having a little information and working until I have all the information that I need or in certain situations having the patience to wait and look at the problem in another way.

Working in Ireland with Genealogy can be a challenge because very little is on-line, although there are projects in hand, then certain information was destroyed in 1922 the biggest loss I feel were the Census Records.
Some of my clients are abroad and use my services because I can be flexible and I have experience in research. The areas I cover are research in National Achieve, Dublin Libraries, General Register Office, Graveyards, and Church Records among others mostly in Dublin but I can also travel outside Dublin.
